DRIPAN: One Week On

One week on from the DRIPAN Art Walk and there's still a healthy buzz and energy surrounding the event. People are still talking and anticipating future events, which will be on their way.

Check out this awesome write up on the Underland Zone from Art, Art, Revolution!  and also a piece on Sheila Bocchine's blog (some of her awesome shots are featured below!)

work is down from Rufxxx and blue beer but work will be stored. other venues are continuing to host work such as Noxa,Orange Tree, HBC, Le Cafe, Maloneys and Carmens. we'll be rotating work  and even though some pieces are coming down other pieces will take their place, so you can still do the DRIPAN walk and see some great work at these awesome establishments.

For artists we will be organizing a couple of pick up days to grab your work from the Laughing Tree gallery, hold tight for emails about this.

More updates to come, in the meantime check out the photos below of the event. Also if you're in the area check out Project Kyungnidan tonight; 12 DJs across 4 venues in Kyundngidan (3 of them being on the DRIPAN map).

See art at HBC and Maloney's Pub!! (Haebangchon/Kyungnidan)

HBC Bar in Haebangchon has been a staple of the local scene for long philosophy discussions over more than a few pints. HBC also has some great wall space which is why it's an official DRIPAN venue. Currently we have some work hung there and more to come. Get in, get a pint and check it out! (Find it via the DRIPAN map)

Clockwise :

  • Juliet Mathes - 'Introspective'
  • Lea Choi - assorted
  • Anjee DiSanto - 'Blurring of the Species'
  • Ripley Tao - 'Abasha'
  • Casey Sword - 'Stevie Nicks '
Lea Choi

Casey's paintings were shipped all the way from San Francisco to get here, Anjee previously organized an art walk in Jeonju, both Juliet and Lea are local artists in the Haebangchon area and Ripley is an international man of psychedelic mystery.
Meanwhile Maloney's Pub in Kyungnidan is a great little place to listen to some live music and get a well poured pint of Guinness. It also boasts some decent wall space, which along with the Guinness makes it another official DRIPAN venue. Already some quality work is hanging there waiting to be seen. Get a pint of the black stuff and get involved! (Find it via the DRIPAN map)

From L to R:

  • Anjee DiSanto - 'Swallowed'
  •  Mike Hern- 'Reflections'
  • Ripley Tao- 'Coerecnor'

More work will be hung throughout the week while we are also drawing up schedules for the performances. In the meantime keep checking this blog, the Facebook page , spread the word and most importantly go to some of these places, say hi and check out the work we've been hanging!

See work at Le Cafe (Haebangchon)!!

Head over to Le Cafe in Haenagchon to see some of the fine work we've hung already!

Not only is Le Cafe one of the best places to get your coffee in the neighborhood (they open early for that post-breakfast pick me up and have some awesome pies and sandwiches on offer) but it is also one of many official venues to be carrying the work of artists involved in DRIPAN.

What's more its right near the beginning of the DRIPAN rt walk which will start at the Laughing Tree Gallery in Haebangchon at 7pm on Dec 4.

Head there now and check out some awesome work!
