One week on from the DRIPAN Art Walk and there's still a healthy buzz and energy surrounding the event. People are still talking and anticipating future events, which will be on their way.
work is down from Rufxxx and blue beer but work will be stored. other venues are continuing to host work such as Noxa,Orange Tree, HBC, Le Cafe, Maloneys and Carmens. we'll be rotating work and even though some pieces are coming down other pieces will take their place, so you can still do the DRIPAN walk and see some great work at these awesome establishments.
For artists we will be organizing a couple of pick up days to grab your work from the Laughing Tree gallery, hold tight for emails about this.
More updates to come, in the meantime check out the photos below of the event. Also if you're in the area check out Project Kyungnidan tonight; 12 DJs across 4 venues in Kyundngidan (3 of them being on the DRIPAN map).
The clock is ticking... work is hung... performers getting ready... energy glowing brighter than ever...
Check out the Opal Zone from 9.30pm,
you'll find some great paper based work at Mini's (as well as some decent coffee) including work by Matthew James Broadhurst, James Topple and Matt Pugh, while from 9.36pm onwards spoken word pieces from Carys Matic,, Alec Miniero Lauren Bedard and Gwen Atkinson.
At Blue Beer get involved with some cocktails and check out some work by Mike Hern, Courtney Lynn Zach, and Dann Gaymer amongst others while Mykian treats you to a live DJ/trumpet set from 9.30pm.
At Carmen get some of the local favorite beer Lao and watch live painting unfold from 9.46pm, then from 10:18pm hear the sounds of Dirty 30's, Danielle Arsenault and Jennifer Waescher.
The final IO zone will see the party working its way up to Rufxxx from 11pm onwards. Trek on up for a chance to get close to more amazing work and a couple more surprise performances, all under the watchful gaze of Namsan tower.
